The Okhotsk Ryuhyo Museum provides visitors with arctic experiences, learning about drift ice and the sea animals of the Sea of Okhotsk. Even though the haze, there great panoramic views of Lake Abashiri and the city, where locals go ice-fishing and Abashiri's maximum-security prison.
Inside the museum, there is also a photography exhibition, with a small cafe and a restaurant that serves a variety of meals and alcoholic and soft drinks. The hours vary depending on the season you decide to visit. There is an entrance fee to go inside the museum.
