Built in 1978, Narita International Airport is located in Narita City in Chiba Prefecture. 68 kilometers away from downtown Tokyo. There are 3 terminals at Narita Airport. The commute time needed between Terminal 1 and 2 is about 10 minutes, which is the same as between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. You can walk between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 (approximately 15 minutes) or take a terminal shuttle bus (approximately 3 minutes).
Terminal 1 International Departure: Head to the departure hall on 4F. After checking in and passing through security check, proceed to the 3F for exit check. Then, follow the signs to boarding gate.
Terminal 1 International Arrivals: upon arrival, follow the sign to the quarantine counter. After going through immigration at 2F, proceed to the 1F arrival hall for baggage claim, plant and animal quarantine, and customs baggage inspection.
Terminal 2 International Departure: Head to the departure hall on 3F and heck in. After security check and exit check, follow the signs in the building, please go to the boarding gate. International Arrivals at Terminal 2: Immigration clearance on the 2F of the main building. After the immigration clearance is completed, please proceed to the arrival hall on the 1F of the main building. Pick up luggage, plant, animal quarantine, customs baggage inspection results.
Terminal 3 International Departure: Head to the 2F departure hall and check in. After security check and exit check at 3F. Follow the signs to the boarding gate.
